Anchorage, Alaska– The Kuskokwim Corporation (TKC) Board of Directors appointed Sam Boyle to serve as TKC’s Interim President and CEO on February 1, 2019.  He previously served as: TKC’s Chief Operating Officer since March 2014, as TKC subsidiary Tumeq’s CEO since its creation in January 2010 and as CEO of TKC Aerospace beginning in 2005.

Sam has played an instrumental role in helping TKC grow and his 14-year history of serving TKC in various executive positions will ensure Maver Carey’s legacy is sustained until the Board of Directors selects a new President and CEO.

“Sam has done a very good job running our subsidiary companies in the Lower 48,” said TKC Board Chairman Dunia Morgan. “Our Board knows he is up to the task of also overseeing our Corporation’s Alaska operations. We are confident TKC will continue to thrive and grow under his leadership.”

Sam grew up in Oklahoma and served in both the Marine Corps and Air Force. He was stationed at Eielson AFB for four years in the early 1980’s. After his service, he received a degree in business, built a management consulting company and then co-founded an Internet company. He joined TKC in 2005 as the founder of TKC Aerospace. Sam has been married to Cheryl for almost 30 years and they have four children. Their home is near Charleston, SC.

Day-to-day Alaska operations for TKC will be managed by TKC Vice President and Chief of Staff Andrea Gusty. All Shareholder services will continue to be performed by the Anchorage and Aniak based staff.

“We have an incredible team in Alaska that works hard everyday for TKC’s more than 4,000 Shareholders,” said Interim President and CEO Sam Boyle. “We have exciting projects coming in 2019 and I look forward to working closely with them to cut path to a better future for all Shareholders of The Kuskokwim Corporation.”

The Kuskokwim Corporation serves the Middle Kuskokwim Region in Western Alaska, and was formed on April 25, 1977, under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, to represent the merged Alaska Native Village Corporations of Aniak, Limited, Chuathbaluk Company, Georgetown, Inc., Kipchaughpuk, Limited, Lower Kalskag, Inc., Napaimute, Limited, Red Devil, Inc., Sleetmute, Limited, Stony River, Inc., and Upper Kalskag, Inc.
