In-region GED Prep & Tutoring Services Now Available through Arviiq Center

TKC’s motto is “cutting a path to a better future.” We understand that the way a person defines success and the path they choose to get there may be different from one person to the next. We value the people of our region and strive to provide opportunities that support them along their own path to success. We are excited to announce TKC now offers GED Prep and Tutoring Services, available to all residents of the Middle Kuskokwim!

A GED, or General Education Development certificate, is a high school equivalency diploma that is recognized by most educational institutions and employers. Having a GED can open many doors of opportunity, including access to advanced educational programs in vocational and technical training, college, and military training programs.  A GED also increases scholarship eligibility and a wider range of higher paying employment possibilities.

TKC recently hired Judy Hager, an experienced instructor to provide GED Prep and High School Support Tutoring services. Judy will work with students to assess their needs, provide tailored lessons to fit the needs of each student’s learning style, maintain on-going communication, provide strategies and tips to enhance learning and improve academic performance, and help students navigate career possibilities while offering a supportive and positive space for students to thrive.

Through our program, instruction is available in-person at the Arviiq Center in Aniak, as well as remotely for all TKC villages. Whether you are working toward getting your GED or you need a boost to graduate high school, TKC is here to support you.

If you’re interested in unlock your full potential and take the next steps towards a brighter future through our GED tutoring and High School Support Program, please contact Judy Hager at judy.hager@kuskokwim.com or (907) 675-4275.

TKC Shareholders living outside of the TKC region can contact Adrian Boelens at adrian.boelens@kuskokwim.com for individualized workforce development, training opportunities and career road mapping.
