The most important asset to the TKC shareholders and the corporation is the land and surrounding TKC villages. TKC manages more than 950,000 acres of land, made up of 10 villages in the middle of the Yukon Kuskokwim region along the Kuskokwim River. In order to address land issues and act as responsible stewards, TKC has established a five-member Land Committee. Our Land Committee is active in involving and promoting the tribal governments in the 14(c)3 process. They are responsible for land policies governing corporation land use, executing transaction involving TKC land per limits of board policy and reviewing all land uses that come before the committee.
