In 2023 the U.S. Department of State (DoS) had an urgent requirement to acquire and install advanced sensors on several aircraft platforms. These sensors would enable DoS and partner nations to better track and interdict illegal activities in the Western Hemisphere.  This requirement was complicated by the need for the total solution to be supplied by small business–something that had never been done before as all the existing approved sensors were sourced from large businesses. TKC subsidiary Precision Air accepted this challenge, located a small business that could manufacture the sensors, and then supplied the technical team that managed the exhaustive certification process as well as integrating the sensors onto the DoS aircraft.  Our team invested significant hours away from home, both in the US and overseas, in a year-long effort to successfully deliver this first-of-its kind small business solution to their customers at DoS.  We simply couldn’t be prouder of our Precision Air team’s effort and the well-deserved recognition from their customer.
