We recently took a look at our demographics and mapped out ways to better engage with Shareholders across generations. With services like workforce development and trainings through the Arviiq Center, which are designed for those of the workforce age, we recognized a need to support the personal, academic, and social growth of our younger Shareholders. We are excited to announce the launch of TKC Nau, our new youth development scholarship.
Nau, pronounced “now,” is the Yup’ik post-base meaning “to grow” as a plant. TKC Nau is an opportunity to nourish the minds of our youth and grow their leadership skills now (a play on words), and into the future.
The scholarship is available to TKC Shareholders from age three through the 12th grade and provides up to $200 per applicant, per year for enrichment activities. Acceptable activities include (but are not limited to):
- Cultural activities and learning opportunities
