TKC NAU

Our motto is “cutting a path to a better future,” and we work to provide opportunities for our Shareholders across generations. We already offer workforce development services and various trainings through the Arviiq Center, which are designed for those of the workforce age. We also ofter cultural learning opportunities through our TKC ROOTS program. We recognized a need to support the personal, academic, and social growth of our younger Shareholders so we launched TKC Nau, our new youth development scholarship.

Nau, pronounced “now,” is the Yup’ik post-base meaning “to grow” as a plant. TKC Nau is an opportunity to nourish the minds of our youth and grow their leadership skills now (a play on words), and into the future.

The scholarship is available to TKC Shareholders from age three through the 12th grade and provides up to $200 per applicant, per year for enrichment activities. Acceptable activities include (but are not limited to): cultural activities and learning opportunities; educational programs; sports and athletics; arts and music; and other extracurricular pursuits that contribute to the holistic development of the youth.
