Subsidiary Spotlight: Holitna, LLC

Holitna, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kuskokwim Corporation that specializes in federal contracting, with a focus on furnishing, logistics, project management, and facility support services. The company works with a range of government agencies to deliver high-quality solutions—often in complex or logistically challenging environments. From outfitting new federal offices to managing relocations and infrastructure upgrades, Holitna brings experience, efficiency, and a strong commitment to getting the job done right. Two recent projects showcase how Holitna is building a strong reputation within the federal market while bringing long-term value back to TKC and our Shareholders.

Ted Stevens Arctic Regional Center – Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson

In September 2022, Holitna was awarded a sole-source federal contract to provide design and furnishing services for the new Ted Stevens Arctic Regional Center at JBER. This facility supports Arctic security and climate cooperation by bringing together military and civilian leaders from across the region.

Initially, Holitna was tasked with outfitting the facility using provided blueprints. But once work began, it became clear the building—a former elementary school—was still in a pre-renovation state. Holitna’s team quickly pivoted, leading design meetings with federal stakeholders to develop a new interior plan and furnishing package tailored to end-user needs.

When the building’s renovation was unexpectedly delayed for several years, Holitna stepped in again—this time to redesign the installation plan to function within the current, unrenovated space. Thanks to this flexibility and problem-solving approach, the project was completed ahead of schedule this spring.

DCAA Anchorage Office Upgrade – U.S. Courthouse

Holitna also led a comprehensive redesign and outfitting project for the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) at its Alaska Suboffice in downtown Anchorage. The project included new workstations, private offices, conference and break room furniture, low-voltage cabling, a security system, signage, and appliances. Holitna also managed the removal and disposal of outdated furniture through the Defense Logistics Agency.

Despite nearly two years of construction delays from the General Services Administration, Holitna remained committed to the project and delivered high-quality results. The work was successfully completed in April 2025.

These projects reflect the kind of specialized, solutions-driven work that Holitna is known for—and how TKC’s business family continues to grow and deliver results across sectors that support both federal partners and shareholder value.
